The weather is still dank and dreary, grey skies and no sunshine.
Nevertheless, we enjoyed our walk through the Normandy countryside this morning where I found some interesting trees to photograph.
Back home, the wet weather isn't dampening the spirits of our daffodils, thank goodness.
They are beginning to brighten up several flower beds now, beautiful Heralders of Spring!

Your countryside looks a bit like ours today - rather grey and mossy. You are a bit ahead of us, with your daffodils. I'm sure that two warmish days in a row will have ours showing a little yellow too.
Your clumps of daffodils make me smile. They are so very cheerful. Still no blooms on the few that came back this year. Guess I need to replant some new bulbs next year. Thanks for sharing your walk.

Your Sunday walks are always so nice Maggie. Over here it is not so bad, temperatures are around 10 or more degrees and the sun has been shining quite a bit this week.. Your daffodils look gorgeous, yes they make everything bright in the garden and in a vase in the house.
Even with the gray skies, your pictures are beautiful and you enjoyed your walk nonetheless!
Your daffodils are so pretty, does spring usually come this early in Normandy or is it this mild weather we all seem to be experiencing? I can't expect mine for another 8 weeks.

We have had our share of grey lately. Was sunny today tho'. Glad you enjoyed your walk.
I like the two trees that lean in over the path. I bet that is so pretty in the summer when they form a leafy arch. And the fallen trees will make great homes for some little creatures. Looks like the dogs enjoyed a good romp too.
I like the stumps. Who would think that stumps would be interesting, but they are. Looks like the pups enjoyed the walk too. Have a good week.
Winter looks a bit tired these days, doesn't it? I noticed some tulips poking their leaves up through the ground, and a thick patch of grape hyacinths. Down the road there is a front lawn awash with purple crocuses. Spring is just around the corner.

I enjoyed your photos of the countryside. Were the trees damaged from a storm or just old age? We have a lot of snow here in New Brunswick, Canada right now so spring will be a few weeks yet. Pamela
Wonderful to see these beautiful signs of spring. I'm so glad I blog and am able to see spring in other parts of the world. Winter finally arrived with a vengeance on the weekend and so it will be forever before we see spring green grass. Keep smiling!

Lovely mosaics, it is so cheering to see the daffodils coming into bloom, our are later than last year, thanks to the big freeze. Is it mistletoe in that tree, so much of it?
