I'm happy that you dropped by today to join me and Susan, our hostess at Southern Daydreamer, as we celebrate another Outdoor Wednesday.
I don't always take my camera along with me on our regular Sunday morning walk through the countryside but this weekend I did and I was very pleased that I had it that day.
The weather had turned a little chilly, in fact we were both wearing jackets for the first time in a long time.
The fields have all been harvested and there are huge rolls of hay waiting to be tractored over to the farms, as winter fodder for the cows.
Mother Nature is also laying in the supplies. I noticed this hawthorn tree has masses on berries on, the birds won't starve this year!

The blackberry bushes in the hedgerows have plenty of berries but because of the cold and the rain they are very small and so are not ripening. I may have to forego making blackberry jam this year, which is a shame.I thought this old sycamore tree (?) was looking very overgrown with mistletoe, which is of course a parasite and will eventually kill any tree it invades.
