One of our favourite walks is along a country lane which (surprise, surprise!) has fields either side and these fields, in summer, have cows (many cows) in them.
We are in Normandy after all.
Recently, however, because of the inclement weather the river, which meanders through the fields, broke it's banks.
So, for Blue Monday @ Smiling Sally's and Mary's Mosaic Monday @ the little red house 
grab your coat, hat, scarf, don't forget gloves and come and breath the cold crisp air as we take Mr Ben for his Sunday constitutional.
These are photographs of fields, it's not a lake we're looking at!

What beautiful countryside! I'd love to be able to visit someday! Looks like it was a pretty chilly walk outdoors! Guess I could go out and face the cold here for a walk, but I'm thinking it will be the gym today. It has been bitterly cold here - but very beautiful to look our our windows. You can choose any book, but preferably one that has a sewn binding instead of a glued one - the glued ones fall apart.
You have to remove some of the pages to make room for the embellished ones. I just cut them out, leaving the edge still bound to the book. I also glue several pages together to make a stiffer, more substantial substrate."
Oh and I have to tell you that I visited your blog on the first visit because of your nickname - Maggie B. My grandmother went by Maggie B - her real name I think was Margaret, but everyone called her Maggie B for Maggie Byrd. And my mother-in-law goes by Maggie, as well. She is from Canada, but her mom was from Belgium and she is a native French speaker. Her real name is Marguerite Marie Therese Lambert Leng. Quite a name - Maggie for short! : )
