For many hours each day, and during the night too for all I know, we have been incommunicado.
You never know what you've got 'till it's gone!

I've already begun to plant out some of the above seedlings in the kitchen garden at the back of the house.
This year I'm trying my hand at brassicas, (cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli) for the first time, also shallots, chinese leaf and kale.
Watch this space for updates on how they all work out.

Yes, we did miss you. I wondered if you had gone on a little vacation. The dogs look like they are having a great time frolicking on the beach. And with all those additional veggies, your garden is going to be absolutely incredible this year!
ReplyDeleteI wondered where you were. Your post is beautiful. Looks like Spring has arrived at you place. xxoo Jenny

I missed you - you didn't come up in my Reader and I wondered if you were off on a jaunt somewhere. Instead, I see you've been enjoying life to the full in Normandy!

Hello Maggie,
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back! The pups look like they had a rollicking good time at the beach! It looks like you are going to have a fantastic garden. I did not get to plant one this year but hope to be able to do so next year. The only things I managed to plant were my herbs.
Have a great weekend!

It's wonderful to see your collages. A lot happened in your week offline... My favorite collage is the dogs on the beach. The weather looks beautiful in Normandy!

ReplyDeleteGreat mosaics. I am looking forward to our breaks in Normandy this year. Are you near the Pegasus Bridge, or Saint-Martin-de-Varreville (in June) or Rouen ( in September). We are going to stop at the Pegasus Bridge cafe for lunch on the way from Calais to St Martin in June, which I think is about halfway.Going Newhaven to Dieppe the second time.
ReplyDeleteFunny how we really rely on our PC's for so much now, I would really miss mine for various reasons if something went wrong.
Have a great week, Jackie in Surrey, UK.
I like your idea of retail therapy in a garden center!

Lovely to have you back! Yes, the sun is glorious. Although not so warm today Been busy rushing around but did call in at two garden centers between running backward and forward for various members of the family, I have just been to the garden centre this afternoon and bought cabbage. Just got to keep the butterflies off! Looks like your going to be just as busy! Have a good week to.
ReplyDeleteSue
