This week the hydrangeas in the front garden have absolutely "popped", thanks no doubt to all the wonderful rain we've been having!
So, I decided to show them off and join Beverly @ How Sweet The Sound for my first Pink Saturday.
Before linking up I visited Beverly's blog to check out "the rules" and discovered a delightful way to get to know bloggers I've never met before.

As I browsed the thumbnail pix, from last weeks particpants, a jug of gorgeous white hydrangeas caught my eye and with just one click I had "met" a new blogger friend.

I adore hydrangeas! i don't have pink ones but I do have blue and lavender ones. I also purchased a cardinal (red) one but it's has bloomed yet. Never saw a red one, have you? They make such lovely cut arrangements. We also have some oakleaf ones, but I 'm not so impressed with their blooms. I went to the white ironstone blog and love it! ReplyDeleteI have blue lace cap hydrangeas, but they have yet to open. We have been having some very chilly weather here. I hope they will be open before the end of the month.

Beautiful pink! Our hydrangeas, like everything else are very late this year, and nothing at all like the colour of yours. Ours are either white or blue-ish. I love hydrangeas on the branch or in a dried arrangement.

I've almost forgotten they are hydrangeas. They're called hortensia in Holland. Yours are gorgeous as mine are just beginning to bloom. Love the pink, pink, pink! xo Jenny

Amazing color, Maggie. Hydrangeas are beautiful and so full. And take so well to being cut and placed in vases all over. I still buy them (no longer growing them) and use them often.
