Never met a French village I didn't fall in love with! Nothing like them anywhere else on this planet - it's the aging process, patina of shutters, oxidizing of metal, crumbling of walls, touches of untidiness adding to the flavor - yes, French villages win if you're into history.
Your photos are of exactly the same sort of things that catch my eye as well Maggie, lovely selection.
