Au revoir Darling Bess.

We are so sad to have to tell you that after a very short illness our darling Bess went to sleep for the very last time yesterday.

She was a very big part of our lives for almost 12 years, she leaves a hugh hole in hearts and we miss her so much already.

Here's a layout I did of her recently celebrating the stages in her life: as a 3 month old puppy, surrogate mom to 10 week old cocker spaniel Ben and as a grand old dame still guarding us, our home and the Quimper!

  2. Maggie, how special. She will alway have a place in your hearts; we never forget those special friends. They are the best.
Thinking of the two of you. I am sure it is still difficult.

  3. Oh my,I just discovered your Normandy blog, and I am in tears again over your dear Bess. It is just so hard to loose them, even when you know the time has come to say goodbye. Keep the good memories, and accept a big hug from me.

  4. I am a bit slow on the uptake with blogs, but like Cerelle, just discovered your blog. Dear Bess..We can still hear Roger describing her having a "soft" mouth. We remember her soft big eyes, and her very funny sense of teasing Ben.
Love from "the don" and Janet
