Blue Building Site Monday

We are entering week four of the new roof saga and our garage and surrounding area are being transformed into a builders yard more and more each day.

The lads are doing their best to keep things in order but it's a big job to replace such a large roof and so I can't complain too much.

This is what it's looking like around here.

Today Smiling Sally is once again hosting her ever popular Blue Monday event, so please go on over I know you'll see far prettier blues than these there.

Maybe next week I'll have something prettier to show you too, j'espere!

  1. Maggie, I feel a bit blue for you! The construction part is rarely fun. But just think how nice it will be to have a new roof that will last another 100 years!

Happy Blue Monday to you! ~ Sarah

  5. I can see why today could really be a blue Monday for you. If you can hang on, it will be worth in the end. No remodeling or repair work is fun. Thanks for my comment.

  6. Construction is never fun and I can see how it might lead to a blue Monday. By next week, however, the picture will change and your house will be protected by that gorgeous roof. It will be wonderful! I can't wait to see your photo of the finished product.

  7. I'm sure your roof will be done before you know it. It always frustrates me to have work done around our house. Happy Blue Monday!

  8. I wonder why so many construction items are blue? Stereotypical man color? Blue collar worker?
    Looks like a big job.

Thanks for stopping by my farmhouse in the Sweetwater Valley of East TN, in the USA....far, far, away from your home in Normandy but only a keystroke away via internet!

  13. Maggie, thanks for stopping by my blog. I would be more than happy to give you a quick tutorial on how I created my altered bottles. I am off to work right now so I will write later with the directions.
My husband and I visited Normandy last October and spent a fabulous week in a farmhouse just north of Dozule. We traveled throughout Normandy that week taking in all the beautiful sites. We had a fabulous time!
So glad to have met you in blogland. I'm going to follow your blog so I can keep up with what is happening in your part of the world.
