Wednesday's sunrise.

For OW & Wordless Wednesday I shared with you yesterday's sunrise, the trouble with Wordless W is that I can't "talk"!
So, to answer some questions from my friends...............
the time was 8.30'ish in the morning, not very early,
it did come with a shepherd's warning because it snowed again later in the day,
it was worth getting out of bed for, except I was already up and preparing breakfast when I looked out of the kitchen door, saw the beautiful colours, grabbed my trusty Lumix and dashed upstairs to take a photo from the bathroom window.
I thought it might be fun to try and replicate the shot 24 hours later but as you can see no blazing sunrise today, only the slightest hint of pink around the edges.
Thanks for all your comments, as Cindy @ Cottage Instincts said recently

" Nothing would ever get done around here if not for an audience".

Have a wonderful day, everyone.

  2. Lovely! We haven't seen the sun for a few days now...and it really begins to wear on me this time of year.

Is it normal for you to get so much snow in Normandy?

  3. Good Morning Maggie,

You do take great pictures! I am on my way to get all the ingredients together to make that Hungarian Goulash. I hope mine tastes as good as yours looks!

It is still super COLD here in East TN!! This is the coldest I have been since I was a child in the early 50's!! Brrrrrrrrrrrr...

    Have a great week!

  6. Isn't it amazing how it can change so much from day to day? But I like them both, the blazing pink and the soft blue.
Thanks for following my blog! You're sweet!

  7. Oh Maggie sweetie...
So beautiful and serene. So untouched by our hands or feet and so freshly beautiful.

These are the types of sceneries you could watch forever if you didn't freeze first.

Stay warm sweetie and have a beautiful day.

    Country hugs and much love...Sherry

  8. Each view is beautiful in its own way, although I love a red sunrise. We've had rain all week here, so I've been looking out at life from under the hood of my gortex.

  10. I've never heard of the expression "shepherd's warning." Around here it's "sailor's warning." And like Pondside said, rain has been our lot this week. I do see a wee bit of weak sunshine outside my window just now.

Sunrise is beautiful no matter what the color. Full of hope for a new day. Beautiful photos.

  11. Beautiful photos! Our weather has been horrible today - sleet and snow - although the thaw is continuing and everywhere is dripping.

  15. I often walk in a park very early in the morning so I see many sunrises, especially in winter. Each one is unique. I enjoyed seeing your photos from Normandy.
Thanks so much for your visit and comment today! I enjoy your blog.
