Back on line, did you miss me?

For about a week now our ISP has been playing fast and loose with our internet connection.
For many hours each day, and during the night too for all I know, we have been incommunicado.
You never know what you've got 'till it's gone!
The cows came home to the field next door.
So, whilst the internet gods are smiling down on me here are some of the things that have been happening around the Presbytère this week.
Fleurs first trip to the beach.

Flowers and trees blossomed.

Retail therapy at the garden centre
I've already begun to plant out some of the above seedlings in the kitchen garden at the back of the house.
This year I'm trying my hand at brassicas, (cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli) for the first time, also shallots, chinese leaf and kale.
Watch this space for updates on how they all work out.

  1. Yes, we did miss you. I wondered if you had gone on a little vacation. The dogs look like they are having a great time frolicking on the beach. And with all those additional veggies, your garden is going to be absolutely incredible this year!

  2. I wondered where you were. Your post is beautiful. Looks like Spring has arrived at you place. xxoo Jenny

  3. Maggie,

I have been so busy with this Mac that I didn't notice anything! But I am glad you are back. Beautiful photographs my friend. Your garden is going to be wonderful.

  4. Well I did miss you because you come up on my sidebar, and when you're not there I wonder why.
You've had a busy week, and it looks like it's been fun. Your garden is going to be quite an enterprise!

  5. There is nothing better than retail therapy @ the garden center *le sigh*

Welcome back! I love the pictures from the beach and garden. Have a super weekend!!!

  6. I missed you - you didn't come up in my Reader and I wondered if you were off on a jaunt somewhere. Instead, I see you've been enjoying life to the full in Normandy!

  7. Maggie, I have missed you! I thought you'd decided to take off for a little get away.
Glad you are enjoying time in the garden. The photos are fantastic! I think Fluers likes the beach. ;-)

  8. Hello Maggie,

Glad to see you back! The pups look like they had a rollicking good time at the beach! It looks like you are going to have a fantastic garden. I did not get to plant one this year but hope to be able to do so next year. The only things I managed to plant were my herbs.

    Have a great weekend!

    ~ Tracy

  9. Welcome back!

Fleur looking a big girl already. Hope Ben is feeling better too.
Rog probably still licking his (football team's) wounds!

    Love to all

  10. It's wonderful to see your collages. A lot happened in your week offline... My favorite collage is the dogs on the beach. The weather looks beautiful in Normandy!

  11. Looks like that internet difficulty gave you lots of extra time for gardening and many other wonderful things. Beautiful photos!

  12. Looks just like a picture book! :)
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend!

  13. Glad you're back - the Internet can certainly play up now and then, very frustrating!

  17. Is that a new header, Maggie? I like it!
(Glad you've solved your ISP problems!)

Looks like spring has truly sprung at your house! I love all the buds and here you are, ready to plant. A very good beginning, I would say!

  18. What great pictures. so much to enjoy this time of year. Hope your internet is fixed now, but if not, all the more time to spend in the garden!

  19. beautiful collage! Catherine

  20. Great mosaics. I am looking forward to our breaks in Normandy this year. Are you near the Pegasus Bridge, or Saint-Martin-de-Varreville (in June) or Rouen ( in September). We are going to stop at the Pegasus Bridge cafe for lunch on the way from Calais to St Martin in June, which I think is about halfway.Going Newhaven to Dieppe the second time.

Funny how we really rely on our PC's for so much now, I would really miss mine for various reasons if something went wrong.

Have a great week, Jackie in Surrey, UK.

  21. I like your idea of retail therapy in a garden center!

Thanks for stopping by and wishing me spring flowers.:) I am a new follower.

  22. I am so envious of your garden! Great therapy!
    Your photos are fab!
Hope you have a great week!

  23. Lovely to have you back! Yes, the sun is glorious. Although not so warm today Been busy rushing around but did call in at two garden centers between running backward and forward for various members of the family, I have just been to the garden centre this afternoon and bought cabbage. Just got to keep the butterflies off! Looks like your going to be just as busy! Have a good week to.

  24. What beautiful photos Maggie! So sorry about your internet problems. It just feels like some of my friends have left town if I don't have a connection to Blogville. (I'm afraid I'm addicted). Looks like you are going to have a wonderful garden. Thank you for linking to Favorite Things. laurie
