I have to tell you that I'm enjoying this monthly party very much, partly because some of the Chefs that Lynn has chosen are unknown to me.
I have seen a few Rachel Ray shows on TV, during vacations spent in Hilton Head, SC. and I believe she will be coming to the FoodNetwork channel, on satellite TV over here, sometime soon.
I always enjoy trying new recipes and Rachel Ray has some that are very simple and easy to follow.
For this cook - a long, I made.........................

I'm always looking for a new way to serve salmon, as we eat it often at this time of year - the Fraser River Salmon fishery opened yesterday -because it is plentiful and delicious!

Oh Maggie....does that look Goooood!!!
ReplyDeleteMy Mom used to make "potato cakes" with leftover mashed potatoes, but to my knowledge, she didn't add cream cheese.
I just bookmarked that recipe so I can try it & I'll give the fish a go, also.
Regarding the making of taco shell bowls at home, Kathleen said she used a ruffled edged bowl to shape her's over the edges. I think she heated them first. I should get her to clarify that for us.
The salad dressing was good, esp. with the steak & avocado, which I'm not a big fan of, but it was tasty.
I must say, your meal sounds much more to my liking, though.

Rett
Looks yummy! We love salmon here and have it often. It's nice to get the OK on a recipe from someone who has tryed it before. Thanks.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great way to try new recipes. I think my husband would think these recipes are great.
ReplyDeleteYum! I love salmon.
ReplyDeleteI think people that don't are those that had it served "overdone" and I always remove the skin and dark fatty stuff before serving!
Those crispy mashed potatoes is something I'm trying soon.
Just a little reminder that the linky for Wednesday's Bunny Hop is up and running on Tuesday night.
