Celebrity Cook - Along with Rachel Ray

This month Lynn @ Happier Than A Pig In Mud has challenged us to a cook - along with Rachel Ray.

I have to tell you that I'm enjoying this monthly party very much, partly because some of the Chefs that Lynn has chosen are unknown to me.
I have seen a few Rachel Ray shows on TV, during vacations spent in Hilton Head, SC. and I believe she will be coming to the FoodNetwork channel, on satellite TV over here, sometime soon.

I always enjoy trying new recipes and Rachel Ray has some that are very simple and easy to follow.
For this cook - a long, I made.........................

Together they make a great 30 Minute Meal.

For "afters" I made Rachel's big sister Maria's

A perfect summer dessert.

Bon appétit

  1. I'm always looking for a new way to serve salmon, as we eat it often at this time of year - the Fraser River Salmon fishery opened yesterday -because it is plentiful and delicious!

  2. I am not very good with cooking fish but I do love it. Rachel makes everything looks so easy! I have to try this. The dessert looks wonderful!

  3. Everything looks delicious, Maggie!

  4. A yummy dinner Maggie-the salad for the salmon sounds very fresh and seasonal! And the clafouti looks beautiful! Thanks so much for playing along:@)

  5. Oh your Salmon & Crispy Mashed Potato Cakes look "delish" as Rachael would say :-) I'll definitely give these a try & and your Peach Clafouti looks positively drool-worthy!

  6. ummm, the entire meal looks fantastic. One of my favorite things in the world is crispy mashed potatoes patties.
    The dessert looks fabulous...

  7. What fun, I like watching Rachel Ray's cooking show. Your peach clafouti looks delicious.

  8. Looks delicious, especially the potato patties!

  9. Maggie, Your dinner looks delicious and you did it up right by doing not one, but three Rachael Ray dishes! Yum!

  10. Hi Maggie, everything looks delicious! xo

  11. Everything looks so good, you did a great job!

  12. Bon appétit!!!!...indeed!
WOW!...I love salmon! And this dessert is fantastic!

  13. Oh Maggie....does that look Goooood!!!
My Mom used to make "potato cakes" with leftover mashed potatoes, but to my knowledge, she didn't add cream cheese.
I just bookmarked that recipe so I can try it & I'll give the fish a go, also.

Regarding the making of taco shell bowls at home, Kathleen said she used a ruffled edged bowl to shape her's over the edges. I think she heated them first. I should get her to clarify that for us.

The salad dressing was good, esp. with the steak & avocado, which I'm not a big fan of, but it was tasty.
I must say, your meal sounds much more to my liking, though.

  14. Looks yummy! We love salmon here and have it often. It's nice to get the OK on a recipe from someone who has tryed it before. Thanks.

  16. I'm not big on salmon but the peach clafouti may make an appearance on our menu this weekend. Thanks for the inspiration.

  17. It looks like a great way to try new recipes. I think my husband would think these recipes are great.

  18. Yum! I love salmon.

I think people that don't are those that had it served "overdone" and I always remove the skin and dark fatty stuff before serving!

Those crispy mashed potatoes is something I'm trying soon.

  19. Just a little reminder that the linky for Wednesday's Bunny Hop is up and running on Tuesday night.
