Wow! What a great time I had with our friends Susan & John in Paris.
We packed so much into twenty fours hours,
sightseeing, shopping, eating.
Hotel d'Alba this way. |
Ready for some retail therapy? Want to see some shops?
Across the road from our hotel is this great shop which specialises in vintage posters.
Further along the street - "Nonna Bakes"
Cakes like these!
Whilst we're talking cakes.........
fancy a coffee?
How about some fresh flowers to take home?
Not a great shot......perhaps you can see our reflections in the window?
a close up of a miniature shop in the window
We found this beautiful place just off the Place du Tertre, Montmartre
look at the window display!
just couldn't resist those macarons
Next time..........sightseeing
Oh Maggie, thank you for I feel like I've just had a stroll down a Parisian street. How nice of you to meet Susan and her husband in Paris. Looks like all of you were having a blast. Thanks for a trip down memory lane.

Everything thing is just so quintessentially French. Ooh la la.
ReplyDeleteIf only we could bring it all home with us.
HI Maggie. I just red your comment. I did shadowshot once, not sure if it was this one or somebody elses and I liked it but I participate in 6 or 7 memes already . Sometimes I quit one and go to another. It is already a lot .
ReplyDeleteHave a nice evening

ReplyDeleteThis couldn't be anywhere else in the whole wide world but Paris.
Thank you for the tidbits of Paris flavor! My favorite is that miniature Shop of Angels...! Oh, and the macarons, of course...
ReplyDeleteThere is nowhere quite like Paris, is there?
ReplyDeleteYou really brought a touch of fabulous PARIS to us Maggie. It's such an amazing city, everyone needs to go at least once...........but of course it's even better if you can go more often!!
ReplyDeleteI'm just making a cuppa, sure wish I had one of those macaroons to go with it!
Glad you had such a fun day with your friends. Please tell me they didn't plan to haul that Tour Eiffel home with them???????

Thanks for your kind comments on my autumn foliage photo.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to spend time in Paris with your friends. Each of the wonderful shops is more delightful than the last.
Did I ever tell you that my daughter spent 3-4 weeks in France a few years ago, for a French language and culture immersion experience. She LOVED every single second. They split their time between Paris and Provence. She wished that the visit could have included northern France as well. Next time. :-)
I hadn't been by for a visit in a while and so glad I came today. What a beautiful post! I feel like I've just been transported! Thank you so much for the inspiring images!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhh, will I have beautiful dreams tonight! Looks like you had some beautiful weather. It was gray and rainy for us, but who cares? ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the shots. I feel as if I was there with you three.
Hugs ~ Sarah
