yes, there are people wading through the water!

it is beginning to look like Christmas around the Presbytère.
a mosaic of some shelf vignettes scattered throughout our home,
with a little bit of snow for effect.

It was late afternoon, Saturday, by the time I was ready to take my photographs and I was very pleased to be able to capture the elusive "blue light" in the sky outside just before it disappeared.
You may remember that in last weeks Mosaic Monday post I mentioned that I would be giving away a copy of the beautiful "Best Of Campagne Décoration" special Noel edition to one lucky person who left a comment on that post.
After the link up closed, with 19 comments left, I went to random.org to choose our winner who was # 7 - Snap @ Tales From Twisty Lane.
Snap, please send me your address so that I can pop the magazine in the mail to you and hopefully it will arrive before the holidays.
(Don't forget there will be no MM for the next two weeks.
MM # 21 will be bringing in the New Year 2017 January 2nd)
How lovely to see the Christmas decorations in your home, Maggie. I love the mosaic of vignettes from around your home. Hard to believe that people would be wading in the sea in December in Normandy, but a walk along an empty beach sounds wonderful! Thank you so much for hosting MM. Congratulations to Snap on the magazine! Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Maggie.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a Holiday break already... But wishing you a lovely Holiday Season & thanking you for hosting Mosaic Monday ❤︎ Enjoy your week!
I know how you feel. Since I live in the desert, it's sometimes hard to find that festive feeling. But in truth, we have to find it inside of us and then spread the holiday joy in all we do. Your Christmas tree in the library looks so pretty lit up. For sure, the lights made back in the 70s are much more reliable than anything being manufactured now. Have a good week. Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mosaic Monday to you Darling Maggie !
ReplyDeleteThanking you so much for your so lovely post and for hosting me today,
I'm sending blessings of Joy on your Holiday Season,
may it be filed with Love and Peace
With utmost gratitude
Xx Dany
Your decorations and trees look lovely Maggie! So happy to hear that Snap won your give away. Have a wonderful and happy Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI would be happy to give up a little of our snow. Your decorations are all pretty, but the tree in the library is my favorite. What a beautiful scene that is! Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Thank you for hosting MM. See you in the next year!
ReplyDeleteYour home looks festive and beautiful. Here in Florida decorated boat parades are a big thing. It's hard for me to get into the mood because of the warm weather, definitely a non traditional Holiday for us. Thank you for all you do hosting this fun sharing event . Have a wonderful Christmas and I will see you next year!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the books on the shelves and the plaid throw on the sofa...the things that make me feel good in a home. And lots of lights!!! Congrats to our buddy Snap! Happy holidays sweet lady. Hugs, Diane

Well Maggie, you have done a beautiful job of turning your lovely home into a festive and comfy place for the Christmas season. Such a beautiful tree with that lovely blue evening sky shining through the window. I hope you have a most blessed Christmas and will be looking forward to seeing you in 2017! Can you believe we are actually almost there? Thank you for hosting and Merry Christmas HUGS! ♥
ReplyDeleteOH - a day at the beach - absolutely fabulous - and then I love your first wooden Santa - I have a soft spot in my heart for wooden painted santas and you have some darling ones. Everything is so festive and the blue light in the window is perfect.
ReplyDeleteAt least we have some cold rain to make it feel more like Christmas. And your decorations in your cozy home look lovely and Christmasy! Love the tree in the corner by the bookshelves. Thank you for hosting this year and have a wonderful Christmas and welcoming of the new year.

ReplyDeleteYour tree is beautiful and especially with the backlight. Sometimes we are just lucky to get such a memorable photos. Here it is dark now by by 5. The sun will set at 4:30. It is cold, too, 12 F this morning, with threats of snow flurries. Tis the season.
ReplyDeleteOh your tree looks so lovely and with the lights twinkling in the window, very pretty. The Salvation Army figurines are delightful as are the many little special items you have set out to adorn your home with for the holiday season. I just love this time of year and wish the world that does celebrate could find the richness and the warmth in their hearts all year long. Merry Christmas Maggie to you and to yours~
ReplyDeleteYour home looks absolutely stunning, Maggie, dressed in its Christmas finest! Both trees are lovely and your collections hold the best memories, I'm sure. I love the 'blue light' photo, I think it's also called The Golden Hour. Just going to have to capture that when I get my decorations finished!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays to you and yours!
Jane
