No hurricanes here...................

It's Outdoor Wednesday over at Susan's A Southern Daydreamer and she has asked that today we submit our Halloween pix but all I have is the one in my new header taken by my brother in law Andrew.
That's me wearing orange and the pointy hat, the pretty witch is the middle is my sister KE, the lady on the end, my step mum Joyce and the ghost & skeleton are AJ & Big Nic our nephews.
The photo was taken two years ago when the family came to Normandy to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday which was October 31st, Halloween!
As most of you will know by now I have been languishing by the sea in beautiful South Carolina for almost 2 weeks now.
You may also be a little tired of seeing palm trees and beach scenes, but guess what, I'm not!

I just can't help looking at the scenery, so in case the weather is not so fine where you are today and I know that some of you have frosty mornings and even snow by now, come take a walk on the beach in Hilton Head with me.

This time next year, October 2010, we will be here, once again, getting ready to host the 11th Annual meeting of the QCI in Savannah, Georgia.

Some of our members have been concerned about hurricane weather here in South at that time of year and whilst of course I wouldn't be foolish enough to say that there will not be a hurricane before or during the meeting, this is probably what you should expect.
Maybe I'll have some Halloween pix next week after I return to France and the village kids come around for Trick or Treat, I'll try!

  4. Your pictures are fabulous, Maggie!! I love the chairs sitting in the tall grass and those sweet birds on the shore. We went to Myrtle Beach, Charleston and Savannah this past spring and totally enjoyed ourselves. We wanted to stay in Hilton Head as well as Beaufort, but ran out of time.

    Enjoy your vacation, Maggie!!

  5. I've been to Charleston twice and love it. I don't think I could ever get tired of beach scenes (which is a good thing since I live on an island).

  6. I have actually seen pictures of that house in the mosaic with the double set of stairs on t.v. several times. It gets photographed a lot.

  12. I'm so glad you're having a wonderful visit. I can't show you photos of my cheese ball because it flopped. I've e-mailed Gooseberry Patch and they responded right away with suggestions. So, I'm making it again this Monday night with that in mind. THEN, I can show you how it turned out. :-)

  16. Glad you are able to stay on a bit longer and enjoy the great weather before heading home to Winter!

Interesting that you like Fresh Market - I shop at our local branch often......and enjoy the coffee!

I mailed the book - it will be there before you most likely! Have a safe and comfy trip back Maggie.

  17. Maggie, I'm back from Japan and finally have a chance to explore your blog. I love the beach scenes, and I know Hilton Head well. I grew up in Atlanta, and we summered on St. Simons Island, and we explored the coast from the Outer banks to Cumberland Island.

Thanks for the photos, and thanks for this lovely blog. I'll be back!
