Bom dia,
Today I thought that for Scenic Sunday 80 hosted by the Holleys you might enjoy a complete change of scene with photographs from our trips to Portugal in 2005 and 2008.

We'll leave behind the snow and floods in gloomy grey Normandy to walk through the streets of Obidos
and gaze over the blue Atlantic Ocean at Praia D’El Rey on Portugal's Silver Coast.
What a nice respite from the rain and cold, Maggie. I never knew Portugal was so gorgeous~a beautiful place to vacation! I love the flowers overflowing over the walls...how colorful!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your photos. BTW...I love your new blog header!! Beautiful! :-)

Hi Maggie,
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are beautiful and just what I needed. I just woke up to another gray, dreary day! Seeing the blue skies and the gorgeous flowers reminds me that spring will be here soon.

These pics are fabulous Maggie! I so enjoyed my tour, the flowers took my breath away. Cindy
ReplyDeleteDefinitely on my list of places to visit! The blue sea and sky, the flowers - they would be a tonic in winter. At what time of year did you go?
ReplyDeleteit's grey and wet and miserable here, so your photos are very welcome to brighten up the day!!
ReplyDeleteBom dia Maggie! Come vai voce? Suas fotografias são bonitas. The pictures from Portugal are so pretty. Gorgeous plants spilling over the garden wall. Gorgeous colonial church architecture too. I would really enjoy a trip to Portugal someday. I lived in Brazil for several years when I was a girl, and still remember some portuguese. Tchau!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots , I love the Beautiful flowers along the street and the shot of the silver coast. Very nice post.
ReplyDeleteOh, Maggie, your photos took me right back to when we spent a couple of weeks on the coast of Portugal many, many years ago. Thanks for sharing these colorful photos of a beautiful spot!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday! ~ Sarah
Just had a quick count and it's 36 years since I was in Obidos, it hasn't changed !
ReplyDeleteI lived in Cascais for a few months and it was splendid time. Portugal is a beautiful country.
Maggie these have warmed me up and made me forget my sniffly nose. Are those bougainvillea flowers cascading down.
ReplyDeleteI noticed the hooks in the plaster wall. Is that to hang more flowers from?
Hi Maggie, we were in the Algarve in 2003 and it is a beautiful place. Loved Vilamoura with the harbour and cafes and Lagos. We have friends who moved there in 2002 so wanted to see them, their house and their new lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteI remember we visited a chapel, can't remember where, that had all blue and white decorative tiles all the way around it. (Looking on the web I think it was Hermitage of Sao Sebastião)
Will have to go back there again soon.
Have a good weekend, from a chilly UK!! Jackie.
Maggie, delightful pictures, I would love to visit Portugal.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS! Oh my, makes me miss warm weather. It's been grey and rainy here too.
ReplyDeleteYou do quite a bit of traveling, lucky girl!
Amazing, Maggie. I've been thinking about a post-trip to Italy to get away from the rain. Great minds think alike, eh? Thanks for the cyber-jaunt. Gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteMaggie,
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful. Makes me yearn to travel! Probably it will not happen so I enjoy your pictures so much.
