Christmas Open House - Part One.



Bienvenue!


Welcome to the first of my Christmas Open House posts.



As you enter through the double front doors 
Colonial Williamsburg
Byers Choice Carolers
 are waiting to welcome you
with a ballad or two, a cup of grog and a choice of seasonal fare.


This year the mantlepiece in the library has a new look,
but still traditional!












Meanwhile, in the dining room,
Bavarian Santa presides this year over Spode "Christmas Tree" china tea things.
He has his eye on those mincepies, I can tell.




The other Santas can only watch from on top of the mantlepiece.






In the window,
The Byers Choice Salvation Army Brass Band and Choir
sing Christmas Carols to entice
Shopping Carolers.



However, the Shopping Carolers seem to have been waylaid
decorating their own tree.


Maybe they think they're in the Rockwell painting of
Stockbridge, Massachusetts?



I hope you enjoyed seeing some of  my favourite Christmas vignettes

    Oh my goodness Maggie,you have the most gorgeous carole singers and other figurines like the salvation army , beautiful, beautiful. And your mantjepiece and candles you have decored so lovely. What a beautiful Christmas house you have. I love your double doors and two wreaths. That is how it has to be. I will certainly be back for the rest of your open house. Wish I could be there and see it for real. :)))

    Maggie, my friend, you have been busy! I love all your little Byers Choice figures. What cheerful little vignettes you've created with these. The mantel piece is gorgeous. I need you here to help me with my decorating. I'm just now working on getting the tree up this evening. ;-)

    I loved visiting your home just now. The double wood doors make a beautiful entry. All of your carolers make beautiful vignettes. My daughter has only about 10 of them but none the same as yours. You have inspired me to make a post

    Maggie,Oh my Gosh! Your carolers are fabulous. I can't believe you have the whole Salvation Army Band, too. Colonial Williamsburg ones are some of my favorites.
    Your Cuthbertson china is so pretty with the mistletoe inside the cup.

    Just beautiful. From the double front doors right through to the Salvos. Love it. A beautiful home wonderfully decorated for the season. I believe it has been freezing in Normandy with clear blue skies. Looks lovely and cozy in your home though.
