Percherons


I often stop to chat with this beautiful pair of white horses
whilst out walking with the SP and M'selle Fleur.


I think they are French Percherons.
tells me that there are two types of Percherons.


The white e trait Percherons are used for heavy duty work on farms.
The black or dark grey e diligencier Percheron used more for recreational and sporting events.


Last Sunday I actually had my camera with me, 
they posed so artistically and seemed to enjoy the extra attention.


I think you'll agree they are simply stunning.

    Yes, they are stunning and seem to think the grass is greener on the other side as they reach for a bite. Also seem to be teaming up in the one where they are facing. Perhaps to eliminate the fence and get to the grass ; )

    Have not seen to many of beautiful white horses. Wow! That fence I am sure they know one push and they are out but they must love where they are. Your lucky to pat them. I guess many do same thing. They look friendly. Do you give them apples sometimes on the flat of your hand?

    They are beautiful horses. Love how they lean way over that fence gate to eat the grass on the other side. You got some great shots of them.
