Percherons

I often stop to chat with this beautiful pair of white horses
whilst out walking with the SP and M'selle Fleur.

I think they are French Percherons.
tells me that there are two types of Percherons.

The white e trait Percherons are used for heavy duty work on farms.
The black or dark grey e diligencier Percheron used more for recreational and sporting events.

Last Sunday I actually had my camera with me,
they posed so artistically and seemed to enjoy the extra attention.

I think you'll agree they are simply stunning.

  4. Yes, they are stunning and seem to think the grass is greener on the other side as they reach for a bite. Also seem to be teaming up in the one where they are facing. Perhaps to eliminate the fence and get to the grass ; )

  13. Have not seen to many of beautiful white horses. Wow! That fence I am sure they know one push and they are out but they must love where they are. Your lucky to pat them. I guess many do same thing. They look friendly. Do you give them apples sometimes on the flat of your hand?
